The RITICS Spring Showcase took place successfully on 15th April 2019 at the National Cyber Security Centre, Nova South, London. Around a hundred delegates were there drawn from industry, academia and government, and the meeting showcased the best research from the research projects that have just got under way funded as part of the second phase of the RITICS programme. There were keynote talks by Jerry Teahan on Cybersecurity for smart buildings, and by Barney Craggs on the Internet of Things in Critical National Infrastructure. There was also a broad-ranging panel discussion on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. This is a topic that has not yet been substantively tackled, and may be something worthy of further research.
There were talks on the NIS Directive Call Projects from the University of Birmingham and the University of Glasgow. And there were talks on the Open Call Projects from De Montfort University, Queen’s University Belfast, the University of Glasgow, and City University, and closing remarks from Rob Orr of Context Information Security.
